Issue Rehiring Buyer in Upgraded System: Error in Address Determination

Hello,

Rehiring a person in our upgraded system is causing "Error in Address Determination" errors for the person's Business Partner. We cannot figure out how to fix this error once it appears in the SRM back-end. It appears perhaps SRM is not correctly updating the address record for a rehire after termination. This error is preventing us from viewing contracts for purchasing buyers (contract owners) when the buyer terminated and was rehired.

Our system was upgraded from EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 to EHP7 for SAP ERP 6.0 AND from EHP2 for SAP SRM 7.0 to EHP3 for SAP SRM 7.0. HR Replication is active in our system and we use the Extended Classic Scenario.

Steps to reproduce:

1) In ECC, select a buyer and terminate him/her as of a day in the past. Relevant PA infotypes that we use include 0000, 0001, 0006, 0105 (subtypes 0001 and 0010). The terminated person is placed in a non-OM position (99999999).

2) Rehire the buyer as of today back into the same position.

3) Use PFAL to transfer the updates from ECC to SRM (org unit, position, and person)

4) In SRM, use transaction BBP_BP_OM_Integrate to see if there are any errors. Check using the CP, Position, BP (Employee), User, Org Unit, and BP (Org Unit). This is the point in which I always get errors (like in the attachment). We maintain the address of the org unit in SRM (t-code PPOMA_BBP).

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try? We have tried deleting the addresses in infotype 0006 (and within the BP), reentering them, and resending to SRM, but that did not help.

Thanks,

Andrea
