Dear SAP gurus,
We have scenario where in one plant (plant A), it can sell material to customer, or transport the material to other plants (plant B). We have sales data for each plants individually, so we will use this sales data to forecast the material requirement for each plant. We plan to use MRP type VV for this. However we find one hurdle.
Plant B will only get its materials from plant A, so after MRP running, plant B will have stock transport request (STR) to plant A. Unfortunately as plant A is using MRP type VV, this STR from plant B is not calculated during MRP running in plant A.
Example for stock situation in plant A:
Stock = 0
Forecast requirement for month 10 = 10 pcs
STR for month 10 = 5 pcs
After MRP running, PR created in plant A is only for 10 pcs.
This is not correct, as the forecast is only for sales data and it doesnt take into account the STR quantity, so the PR in plant A should be 15 pcs.
Is there a way to include requirement for MRP type VV?
NOTE:
I have tried using MRP type PD. This MRP type does able to take into account the STR requirement. However when the SO is later created, this also taken into account, and then the system will create PR for this as well, which leading us into over-ordering in this case.
