Block planning and Set up sequencing

Hi,

Whats the difference between block planning and set up sequencing as far as objective is concerned? We have variant configuration MTO scenario. I am aware that both need use of characteristics. And per literature block planning (campaigns) is relevant to process industry and set up sequencing to discrete mfg. But even in case of process industry we can utilize set up sequencing in order to reduce set up costs.
