question on delete from custom table

Hi,

I came across a statement DELETE FROM custom table name, and no other conditions,  after this like where from or any other thing.

Just want to know if this statement deletes the entire custom table and also note that this statement is used inside a loop and no condition for it.

I know how to use delete and delete using from   work area or table and with condition. Please do not reject this thread , i have seacrched in SCN and did not found answer.
